Mhlengi Nzimande also known as FunkySoul is one of the hottest rising House Dj/Producer to hit shores of Mzansi. After discovering love for music at an early age his music career started in the late 2000s with only an idea which formulated his zest for the market he serves today. Born in Durban, and In the essence of completing his studies in Information & Communication Technology, Funkysoul created a network for house music lovers where his deep soul podcasts came into play, opening doors for his first break at De La Sol Cocktail Bar & Studio rubbing shoulders with the likes of Black Coffee,Mr V.,Ralf Gum,St. Nicholas, Da Capo, Dj Fresh & Euphonic to name a few. His experience as a Dj and producer has grown immensely while creating a firm base for his forthcoming mixes and remix projects with the likes of internationally recognized Lemon 'n Herb who recently won the BPM remix competition credited by the famous Atjazz alongside Da Capo, Soul Villain, Blaq Soul and Gregory Banx.

He continues his passion by spending long hours in the studio to produce the correct aesthetic sound which he has forever delivered to his niche market. His sound is derived of soulful basslines intertwined with smooth chords and rhythmic synthesizers, just in line to get anyone moving. He continues to bless the people with his unique sound at clubs such as De la Sol, Plush Ultra lounge, Sasha,  Afro Lounge, Skyybar, News Cafe and is currently the resident Dj at De la Sol. Summer 2011 he shared the stage with some of SA's finest Djs and producers together with internationally recognized Djs such as Black Coffee, Mr V (USA), Abicah Soul(USA), Zakes Bantwini and more. Played after Black Coffee and opened for Mr V @Sasha for the Re-Birth of House Aids Event. 2012 July 07 he played at the (Mtv Base_Lifestyle_Oases Masrquee) There is no doubt that this youngster has plenty to fulfill and he has only just started.
